A viewing for Lois Francis (Edmundson) Kruse Stinnett, 81, formerly of the Cement area, will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Ferguson Funeral Home from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and a graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024 in the Cement Cemetery with Raymond McPherson officiating.
Lois Francis Edmundson was born December 7, 1942 in Norman, Oklahoma to Clyde Frances Edmundson and Anna Mildred (Holcomb) Edmundson. She passed from this life on Monday, May 27, 2024 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Lois grew up in Midwest City and graduated from Midwest City High School in 1961. She worked as a librarian at Rose State College.
In 1963, she married James Kruse and to this union her son Douglas, the apple of her eye, was born.
Lois enjoyed working with her dad in the garden, camping, fishing, bead working and making jewelry, games and sudoku puzzles.
She later married Rodger “Dale” Stinnett, the love of her life. After his death in January of 2020, she moved to Shanoan Springs Nursing Home in Chickasha, where she made many friends.
Lois was preceded in death by both parents, her husband Rodger “Dale” Stinnett, daughter-in-law Barbara Kruse; sister Goldia Marie Reed and brother-in-law Fred Reed.
Loved ones left to remember her are her son Douglas Kruse of Arkansas; sister and brother-in-law Patricia and Daryl Kiefer of Georgia; two grandchildren Zachariah Kruse and Samantha Kruse; two great-grandchildren Marky and Pandora Kruse; other loved ones, Gina Dalton and her children Cody, Skie, and Kaisen Dalton; many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly; and other extended family and friends.
Lois chose cremation after a time of viewing and then a graveside memorial service to bury her cremains at Cement Cemetery.
Cremation arrangements and interment are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
