Linda Kay Capps

A funeral service for Linda Kay Capps, 76, of Chickasha will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Daniel Edwards officiating.

Linda Kay (Williams) Capps was born January 19, 1949, in Boise City, Oklahoma to Leonard Lincoln Williams and Selena Stanja (Ewing) Williams. She passed from this life on Friday, February 21, 2025, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Linda grew up in Boise City and went to school there. She started working at a young age in the cotton fields and at a laundry mat to help with the family. 

She married Pete Baldonado, and they had two daughters together, Starlya and Martha.

She then married Daniel Adair and to this union Oliver and James were born. They moved to Chickasha in the mid 70’s. 

She worked at Pet Milk and Hermetic Switch for 25 years and then worked at Badgett’s around 10 years and then retired. 

Linda loved spending time with her family and with the grandkids. She was onery and very stubborn with a loving heart. She was very straight forward. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

After a few years together, she married Howard Wesley Capps June 6, 1989, and they shared 24 years.

She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband Howard, granddaughter Gabrieal Badillo, son Oliver Adair, and several siblings.

Loved ones left to remember her are her children Starlya Badillo and husband Kevin, Martha Baldonado, James Adair and wife Rachel, all of Chickasha; brothers Jimmy Williams and Rex Williams of Boise City, Herbert Williams of Arkansas and Leonard Williams of Oregon; multiple grandchildren; multiple great-grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.

Viewing for Linda will be held Thursday, February 27th from 2:00 until 7:00 in the Ferguson Funeral Home.

Interment will be held in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
