Funeral services were held for Lillie Mae Hannah, 91, of Chickasha at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2012, in the Bible Baptist Church with Kim Hayes officiating.
Angels came and escorted Lillie Hannah into the arms of Jesus.
Lillie Mae Hannah was born on the family farm at Amber, Oklahoma, on January 4, 1921, the ninth child of Charles Henry Nye and Mary Ann Etta (Niday) Nye. She died on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, in Chickasha.
Lillie and J.B. Hannah were married January 24, 1942, in Amber, Oklahoma. To this union was born one child, Joyce. Lillie and Joyce lived on the family farm until the return of J.B. from World War II.
Lillie was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. She retired from Pet Milk after 27 years of employment.
She was preceded in death by: both parents; brothers, Clarence Nye, Richard (Vady) Nye, Joseph (Joe) Nye, Odissa Nye, and Charles Edward (Edd) Nye; sisters, Mary Whitaker and Bertha Teague; and her husband, J.B. Hannah on July 2, 1985.
Lillie is survived by her only child, Joyce Trout and son-in law Bob Trout; her only granddaughter, Miona (Trout) Taylor and husband Ivan Taylor; two great-grandchildren, Carrington Taylor and Hannah Taylor; and one sister, Geneva Roach of Houston, Texas.
Interment was in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
