Funeral services for Lillie (Harris) Rhodes, 81, of Chickasha, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 13, 2015 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Michael Oberlender officiating.
Lillie (Harris) Rhodes was born on May 31, 1934 in Vernon, Texas, the daughter of Chester Otis Harris and Georgia Mae (Langston) Harris. She died Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at her home in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Lillie grew up in Vernon, Texas and in Wichita Falls, Texas, where she met the love of her life, Billy Dean Rhodes, and married him on July 31, 1954. She was a homemaker, raising their four children, Judy, Deborah, Rebecca, and Anthony.
She loved to sew, especially making dolls. Lillie enjoyed raising dogs, hard work, and meeting people, she never met a stranger. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Lillie was preceded in death by both parents and one sister, Mary F. Blair.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Dean Rhodes, of the home; daughter, Judy K. Leach of Branson, Missouri; daughter, Deborah Lynn Mederios of Harrin, Illinois; daughter, Rebecca Dean Masson of Denison, Texas; son, Anthony Allan Rhodes of Houston, Texas; brother, Olon Ray Harris of Douglasville, Georgia; eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and many other extended family and friends.
