Memorial services will be held for Lee Ann Wilson, 73, of Chickasha at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2012, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel.
Lee Ann Wilson was born in Joplin, Missouri, on December 12, 1938, to Albert Leroy Arnhart and Frances Gandy Arnhart. She died on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at home in Chickasha.
Lee moved with her family from Missouri to Los Angeles, California, as a young girl, later settling in nearby Rosemead, California. There she met and married Allen Lee in 1956,and to that union her two children were born. He preceded her in death in 1988.
Lee later married Robert Charles ‘Chuck’ Wilson in August of 1989. That same year Lee and Chuck moved to Chickasha and purchased the La Casa Club. In 1990 they changed the name to the General Lee, naming it after her. Lee was always in charge and lovingly referred to as ‘the general’ by her family. After Chuck’s death in 2008, she became partners with her son, Joseph Lee.
Lee loved to fish and go house boating. She always enjoyed spending time with friends and family and her customers at the General Lee.
She was preceded in death by: both parents, husband Chuck in December 2008, sister, Earlene ‘Dutch’ Edelen in 2004, brother, Claude Arnhart in January 2012, and sister, JoAnn Noble in March 2012.
Survivors include: one son, Joseph Allen Lee & wife Tina of Chickasha; one daughter, Carrie Marie Lee of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren, William Lee and Robert Braden; and one great-grandson, Austin Braden.
Cremation arrangements and services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
