Funeral Services for Laquita Ann Moss, 76, of Chickasha will be held Tuesday July 12, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Webb officiating.
Laquita Ann Webb was born February 16, 1935 in Cordell, Oklahoma the daughter of Chester Webb and Edna Rosser Webb. She died Friday, July 8, 2011, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Laquita attended Clinton Public Schools and graduated from Clinton High School in 1953. She married Bill Moss on October 15, 1953, in Clinton, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker while the children were young. Later she attended and graduated from the Redlands Community College in El Reno, Oklahoma. Laquita was also in the first Registered Nurse class to graduate from the Nursing Department at Redlands. She was employed by Parkview Hospital in El Reno and St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City until her retirement in 2001. Her hobbies included reading and crocheting. She was a life long member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by both parents.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Robie Moss of Chickasha; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ginger and Kevin Curtis of Duncan and Shirley and Rick Sparks of Edmond; one brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Becky Webb of College Station, Texas; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Donita and John Brooks of Houston, Texas and Darla and Richard Young of Moore; seven grandchildren, Angie Sears Girard, Stephanie Sears Bailey and Ryan Sears all of El Reno, Jennifer Moss Downes, and Brandon Moss of Chickasha, Jeremy Curtis of Duncan, & Jeff Curtis of Chickasha; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
