F uneral services for Landrie Dalene Turner, 8, of Amber, Oklahoma will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the Bible Baptist Church of Chickasha with Pastors David Treadaway and Ezell Nelson officiating.

Landrie Dalene Turner, the daughter of Grant Allen Turner and Tiffany Dalene (Williams) Turner, was born on August 24, 2009 in Norman, Oklahoma. She passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 in Amber, Oklahoma.

Landrie was truly larger than life…full of love, joy and orneriness. She made a positive impression on the lives of everyone she met. She was a loving, determined little girl. Her big blue eyes, swinging pigtails, sweet smile, contagious, ornery personality and positive, encouraging attitude brightened the lives of everyone around her. She was very proud to be an Am-Po Panther. Landrie was a good friend to everyone and was certainly not afraid to be herself. She was a daredevil and prankster. You never knew what prank was next with Landrie. She leveraged her “candy” mouse trap, quarter and water bottle trick, and whoopee cushion to bring laughter to all those around her. And we will never forget the special talents Landrie had with her underarm if the whoopee cushion wasn’t handy. She could out shop anyone at the 5 and Below store.

Outside was the true meaning of Landrie. Whether it was playing in the mud with Ladd, fishing, working show calves, or just enjoying nature. She loved being with her Momma, Daddy and Bubba out in the steer barn and on the farm. Landrie operated at full throttle and packed a bold punch if you dared to tease her. She was a no frills, no fuss kinda girl. She loved softball, animals, the Grinch, and her OSU Cowboys. Simply put, she gave a whole new meaning to “pistols firing”. Landrie made it very clear she had to have top water when she was fishing and would stand nothing less than the best in the show ring. Landrie carried her Momma’s tenderhearted, let it roll approach to life. Without question, Landrie was her Daddy’s mini me, emulating her Daddy to a tee. She wore her hat, belt buckle, pliers, and boots with pride, aspiring to be a farmer like her Daddy someday.

Landrie was a lot of things to a lot of people, including being the best daughter, sister, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, niece, cousin, friend and student imaginable. No matter the heartache or sorrow, Landrie’s legacy lives forever.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Angie Bice, Leonard Williams, Ray Turner, Betty Turner, Estelle Steelman, and Grady Steelman.

Survivors are her father, mother, and brother, Grant, Tiffany and Ladd Turner, of the home; grandparents, Dale and Tanja Williams of Tuttle and David and Beckie Turner of Amber; aunts and uncles, Brooklyn Turner, Andrea and Brian Bendele, Jesse and Jackie Williams, Chad and Hannah Williams, and Rebecca Williams; great-grandparents, Ted Bice, and Verla and Earl Parker; numerous cousins and other extended family and friends.

Interment will be in Amber Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
