Funeral services for Kaylan Sue Grimes, 72, of Chickasha, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel.
Kaylan Sue Grimes was born February 11, 1949 in Orange County, California to Ralph and Owna (Green) Thomasson. She passed away Saturday November 13, 2021 surrounded by family at her home in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Kaylan grew up in California, married at a young age and had three sons, Ron, Danny and Thom.
She worked at Van’s Shoe Store in California and then later when she came to Chickasha, she went to nursing school and became an LPN. She spent her life raising her boys and many others. As a foster parent, she took in and loved many other children that came in and out of her home. Kaylan was stubborn, sassy and sarcastic. She was the life of the party and enjoyed going to the casino and smoking a cigarette. She liked to watch the Hallmark channel and true crime shows.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Humanity Hospice for their excellent love, care and support over the past year.
