A funeral service for Katherine Alice Roberts, 61, of Nichols Hills, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 8, 2023 at the Epworth United Methodist Church in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Katherine Alice (West) Roberts, who went by Alice, was born June 20, 1962 in Fort Worth, Texas and was the daughter of Ted West and Norma “Jean” (Miser) West. She passed from this life on January 1, 2024 at her home in Nichols Hills, Oklahoma.
Alice grew up in Fort Worth and moved to the Chickasha area with her family in 1973. She graduated from Am-Po High School in 1980 and went on to attend SWOSU in Weatherford for two years before transferring to OSU in Stillwater and earning her degree in marketing in 1984.
Over the years, she worked as a massage therapist and nail tech, and then as a court reporter for Steve Meador and Associates. In 1999, she married Bill Roberts and had her daughter Rachel. Her world revolved around Rachel and she enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom. After her brother, Philip, passed away in 2007, she helped manage the family farm.
Alice was an active member of Crossings Community Church, where she was very involved with the Ladies Bible Study. She was wise beyond her years and could always make those around her laugh. She was always ahead of the curve in style, and loved traveling and trying new things to satisfy her insatiable curiosity. She was a loyal friend who always had the right words to say. She was always sharp but remained kind to any and everyone. She loved spending time with her daughter and dogs more than anything.
She was preceded in death by her brother Philip West, father Ted West in 2013 and her mother Jean West in 2020.
Loved ones left to remember her are her daughter Rachel Lauren Roberts of Nichols Hills; cousin Lisa Arthur of Bethany and Lisa’s son Noah Alvarado of California; aunt Frances Arthur Grimes of Pauls Valley and cousin Lewis Arthur of Pauls Valley; and many friends.
There will be no viewing. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, located in Chickasha, Oklahoma, under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
