Funeral services for Kascina Denise Owens, 55, of Midwest City, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 17, 2016 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Milton Bowens, Jr. officiating.
Kascina Denise Owens was born March 9, 1961 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of David Owens, Sr. and Norliasha (Taylor) Owens. She departed this life on Monday, October 10, 2016 in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
Kascina, affectionately known as Daffy or Sissy, grew up in both Oklahoma City and Midwest City and graduated from Midwest City High School in 1979. While at MWCHS she excelled at track and field, winning many awards and accolades. She received an Associate Degree in Applied Science for Business Administration from Rose State College on May 4, 1990.
Kascina liked to have fun. She enjoyed listening to music, playing dominoes, modeling and competing in dance competitions with her brothers and sister. She was actively involved in child care and was witty and sharp minded.
Kascina was preceded in death by both of her parents David Owens Sr. and Norliasha Owens.
She leaves to cherish her life, three children, Asinceon E. Watson, Myeisha Owens and Justen R. Owens; grandchildren; Jadin R. Watson, Asinceon R. Dedeaux, Assan D. Dedeaux, Wade B. Dedeaux, III; nieces, Courtney Owens and lil Kascina; sister, Norliasha K. Owens; five brothers, Donald Sledge, David Owens, Jr., Eric D. Owens, Cedric R. Owens and Destan L. Owens; special thanks and appreciation to Secrett Taylor Braziel and Shelly Dodd; and other extended family and friends.
Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
