Memorial Services and Celebration of Life for Julie Boysen Rainey, 63, of Chickasha will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2016 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Kim Hayes officiating.
Julie Boysen Rainey was born the daughter of Fredrick Boysen and Caroll Boysen Bidwell on March 17, 1953 and passed away June 12, 2016 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Julie was born and raised in Houston, Texas and graduated from Mirabeau B. Lamar High School in Houston in 1971. As a young woman she moved to Chickasha, Oklahoma where she married Ollie E. Rainey in November 1977. Of their union 2 sons were born. Julie made the rest of her life in Chickasha but her heart always remained in Texas. She enjoyed fishing, arts & crafts, cooking and gardening. She was always a blue ribbon winner with her entries of canned goods at the Grady County Fair. Her brightest moments were in Ninnekah, Oklahoma where she passionately watched her 2 sons play baseball. She was a staple at the ballpark where she could be found volunteering in the concession stand, making sure umpires had been provided, or helping keep scores.
Julie is preceded in death by her father Fredrick Boysen of Brownwood TX, mother Caroll Bidwell of New Braunfels TX, step-father William “Billy” Bidwell of New Braunfels TX, brother Fredrick “Ricky” Boysen of Brownwood TX.
She is survived by her son Dylan Rainey and wife Lesley of Pocasset, OK, son Cody Rainey and wife Joey of Brunswick, MO, grandchildren Logan and Bowen Rainey of Brunswick, MO, brother Jon Boysen of Brazoria, TX, step-mother Rosamond Boysen of Brazoria, TX, aunt BernaDean Terry of Chickasha OK, uncle Carl L. Hebink and wife Julia of Clearwater FL, and many nieces and nephews.
Services and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. Interment will be held privately at Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early, Texas at a later date.
