Judy Ann Mayrhofen

d. January 7, 2023

A funeral service for Judy Ann Mayrhofen, 79, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Bates officiating.

Judy Ann (Dearden) Mayrhofen was born January 1, 1944 in Flint Michigan, the daughter of John Leroy Dearden and Marie L. (Dommer) Dearden. She passed from this life on Saturday, January 7, 2023 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Judy grew up in Michigan then when she was thirteen, she moved to California with her family.

She married Terry Lang Mayrhofen on December 5, 1964 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They had two children Tonya and Jeffery and shared 40 years together, until his passing in 2004.

They moved to Chickasha when Terry’s father died so they could be closer to help his mother. Judy worked for SPMC in medical records and also as a caregiver for many years, taking care of others. Judy was a fighter! She was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in 2016 and fought with all she had, putting that cancer in remission in 2019.

She was always enjoying time with her grandchildren. She loved going shopping with her mom every Saturday and they would get their hair and nails done. Her granddaughter Misty was her pride and joy and she lit up when Misty’s children, Madison and Maverick would come into the room.

She loved collecting butterflies and frogs and liked to read Nicholas Sparks books then watch the movies. She would talk with anyone, never met a stranger and had an unconditional love for others. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

Judy was preceded in death by both parents, husband Terry, son Jeff Mayrhofen and grandson John Smallwood.

Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Myron Loman of Chickasha; granddaughter Misty Loman and great-grandchildren Madison Loman and Maverick Loman of Chickasha; sister-in-law Estelle Bushyhead and numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.

Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
