Memorial services for Judith Elaine Edwards, 70, of Oklahoma City, formerly of the Chickasha area, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2017 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel.
Judith Elaine (O’Brien) Edwards was born on January 29, 1947 in Paola, Kansas, the daughter of Glendale O’Brien and Rosie Mae (Goodeyon) O’Brien. She died on Friday, November 17, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Judy moved to California with her family. Her father worked for Chevron and her mother worked for the schools, making a good life for Judy and her siblings.
She married James Fuller and to this union her two sons, Rick and Eric, were born. She then met and married Charles Edwards and they had a son, Chuck, and Charles raised all the boys as his own. Charles and Judy moved to Oklahoma and owned a trucking company, settling in Dibble.
Later Judy moved back to California for a time, and then came back to Oklahoma to be closer to her sons. She was a great person and very giving.
Judy was preceded in death by her father, brother, Tex O’Brien, and grandson, Nathan Glen Fuller.
Survivors include her sons, Rick Fuller of California, Eric Fuller of Chickasha, and Charles Edwards, Jr. of Chickasha; mother, Rosie O’Brien and sisters, Susie Small and Kate Eucce, all of California; four grandchildren, including Eric Chance Fuller; daughter-in-law, Penny Fuller McGuffin; and other extended family and friends.
Services and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
