Josiah “Tripp” Cauthen

d. July 13, 2017

Funeral services for Josiah Tripp Cauthen, infant son of Sammy and Marti Cauthen, will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 in First Assembly of God Church with Tim Black officiating.

Josiah “Tripp” Cauthen was born and passed away on July 13, 2017 in Norman, Oklahoma, the son of Samuel J. Cauthen and Marti L. (Williams) Cauthen.

“I grieve for all the tomorrows that will never be. I grieve because God now holds you instead of me.”

Our precious son, we were full of joy when we discovered you were on the way! We planned and dreamed of the things our family would do together. For seven months we prayed and believed that according to Psalm 118:17, you would “not die, but live and recount the deeds of the Lord.” We didn’t know that the day we said hello, we would be saying goodbye. Our joy turned to tears and we held on tight. We didn’t want to let you go, but our tears can turn to peace knowing you are in the arms of Jesus. In Matthew 19, Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of Heaven.” Little one, you are alive; dancing on streets of gold, recounting the deeds of the Lord in His Presence! We love you, Josiah Tripp Cauthen!

Tripp is survived by his parents, Sammy and Marti Cauthen, brother, Samuel Cruz Cauthen and sister, Emory Ann Cauthen, all of the home in Chickasha; grandparents, Sam and Stephanie Cauthen and Robert and Meschelle Williams, Roy and Tracy Graham.; aunt, Amanda Williams; aunt and uncle, Tray and Whitney Williams and cousins, Lanie and Charis Williams.

Interment will be on Winter Creek Farm, a family property, under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
