Funeral services for Jonnie C. Osborne, 72, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 22, 2016 at the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Ron Blankinship officiating.

Jonnie C. Osborne was born on September 9, 1943 in Carnegie, Oklahoma, the son of Lawly Osborne and VonCiel (Harness) Osborne. He died Tuesday, January 19, 2016 in Oklahoma City.

Jonnie grew up in several towns in Oklahoma and graduated from Fletcher High School. Shortly after graduating, he joined the United States Army and was stationed in Badhersfeld, Germany, where he met and married Erika Arnold. After his military service, they came back to Fletcher to be close to family.

Jonnie was employed at manufacturing companies including Sequoyah Carpet Mills, Pet Milk, and Hermetic Switch. He then worked security with Pinkerton at Delta Faucet. Later he was self-employed as a landscaper and handyman until his retirement.

As a young man he liked hunting and he always enjoyed the outdoors. He liked taking the family on vacations. Jonnie was also a die-hard OU football and New England Patriots fan.

He was preceded in death by both parents.

Survivors include his wife, Erika, of the home; son, Jonnie Osborne, II, and wife, Charla, of Ardmore; daughter, Christine Osborne Cogburn, and husband, Jeff, of Chickasha; daughter, Verlie Perez, and husband, Sergio, of Chickasha; brother and sister, Gary Osborne and Lisa Osborne, of Oklahoma City; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.

Services and interment in Fairlawn Cemetery are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
