Graveside services for Johnny Douglas Crutcher, 81, of Amber, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Amber Cemetery.
Johnny Douglas Crutcher was born August 30, 1940 in McKinney, Texas, the son of Edgar Davis Crutcher and Edna Esta (Crouse) Crutcher. He died on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Johnny grew up all over Texas then he joined the United States Army, retiring after 27 years. He served three tours in Vietnam and became a Sgt. Major.
He loved fishing, hunting and anything outdoors and he enjoyed time spent barbequing with his family.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, wife Diane Surber, grandson John Edgar Crutcher II, and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his son John Crutcher and wife Stacey of Chickasha; grandsons Spencer Crutcher and Talon Crutcher of Chickasha, granddaughters Geneva Crutcher of Florida, Dianna Crutcher and McKenzie Crutcher of Rush Springs; step-sons John Burns and wife Stephanie of Pioneer, Ronnie Burns of Ninnekah, Charlie Burns of California; step-daughter Desarie Fletcher of California; sisters Waunell Coleman of Utah and Omega Chisum of Texas; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.
Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
