Graveside services for Johnnie Earl Farley, 69, of Chickasha, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the Ft. Sill National Cemetery located in Elgin.
Johnnie Earl Farley was born on February 6, 1948 in Indianola, Oklahoma to Alvis Anderson Farley and Ruby Viola (Hyatt) Farley. He died on Thursday, October 5, 2017 in Kiowa, Oklahoma.
John joined the United States Army as a young man in 1965 and served his country for three years. He was a heavy equipment operator for various construction jobs, but his life purpose was as a minister of Non-Denominational faith for many years.
On October 5, 1968 he married Sharron Kay Hill, and they were married almost 50 years until her passing in 2008.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching westerns, and reading his Bible. He was an excellent husband and father and he loved his family.
He was preceded in death by both parents; his wife, Sharron; daughter, Catherine Ash; brothers, Cecil Farley and James Smith; sisters, Linda Farley and Aretta Smith.
Survivors include daughter, Crystal Farley and husband, Eric Jantz, of Chickasha; son, John Earl Farley, Jr. and wife, Angelic, of Chickasha; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Gail Farley of Chickasha and Donnie and Pat Farley of Ninnekah; sisters Rosie Copple of Kiowa and Vernie Schaffer of Lequire; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.
Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
