Services for Jeri LeeAnn Dye-Hekia, 49, of Chickasha will be held at a later date.
Jeri was born in Henderson, Nevada, the daughter of Terry Lee Dye and Patricia Ann (Humphrey) Ferguson. She died on March 30, 2016 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
She grew up in Sulphur, Oklahoma and attended Sulphur High School. She attended Aladdin Cosmetology School and then went to Vo-tech for paralegal certification.
She shared her life with Kevin Hekia for the last 21 years. He was the apple of her eye.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and absolutely loved her time with her daughters and grandchildren, they were her world. She loved reading, writing and music, which was her second love. She was a very caring and loving mother and was “Mama Jeri” to so many.
Jeri was preceded in death by her mother Patricia Ferguson; grandparents, Audrey Humphrey, Edgar Humphrey, Mac Dye and Jackie Dye.
She is survived by her husband of the home, Kevin Hekia; father and stepmother, Terry and Patsy Dye of Henderson, Nevada; brother and sister-in-law Kirk and Kim Dye of Temple, Texas; sister, Cheril Dye of Wilson; three daughters, Brandi Dye and her spouse Buddy of Chickasha, Stormy Uhles and her husband Eric of Sulphur, Whitnie Brooks and her husband Llew of Ringling; three nephews Nick Dye, Aaron and Adrian Gregory; twelve grandchildren and one grandson on the way; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and many other close extended family and friends.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
