Memorial services for Jennie Mae Nunn, 72, of Chickasha, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Alice Wendling officiating.
Jennie Mae Nunn was born January 29, 1943 in Chickasha, Oklahoma, and she was the daughter of Narve A. Wilson and Elthera M. (McMillan) McCord. She passed away at her home Thursday, November 26, 2015.
Jennie grew up in Chickasha and attended Chickasha Schools.
On September 29, 1961, she married Johnny Ray Nunn in Chickasha, and they were married for 54 years. She was a homemaker most of her life, raising their four children, but was employed for a time at Delta and Sentry. She also worked as a caregiver in people’s homes and really enjoyed taking care of each one and they became a special part of her life.
Jennie loved growing flowers, especially her roses and blackberry bushes. She enjoyed canning and making jam with her blackberries. She liked to spend time with her family camping at Lake Texoma and liked to go fishing.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Narve Wilson and Roy Wilson.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny, of the home; daughter, Vicky Haile and her husband, Donnie, of Chickasha; son, John Nunn and his wife, Leah Armstrong, of Chickasha; daughter, Ann Moore and her husband, Kenny, of Ninnekah; daughter, Bobby Nunn, of Chickasha; sister, Joyce Burton, of Comanche; brother Buddy Wilson and his wife, Joyce, of Hemphill, Texas; four grandchildren, Christopher Goforth, Dalton Nunn, Jamie Stephens, Phaedra Moore, and Brittnee Barron and one great- grandchild, Miya Barron; and other extended family and friends.
Services and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
