Funeral services will be held for James William ‘Bo’ Cossey, 49, of Cement at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, in the Cement School Auditorium.
James William ‘Bo’ Cossey was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma, on August 2, 1962, to Granville Wayne Cossey and Laura Rachel (Lewis) Cossey. He died on Sunday, May 6, 2012, at home in Cement.
Bo grew up in rural Cement working on the family farm where he took pride in showing and raising chickens. He married Erica Sand on October 10, 1981, and to that union had two children, Brock Wayne Cossey and Kalie Dora Cossey. He married Jennifer Remy on September 23, 2000, and welcomed two more children, Brooke Rae Remy and Mackenzie Rose Remy. He loved his children unconditionally.
Bo loved his family and friends more than anything in the world. He took pride in his gardens and land. He was an outstanding athlete and enjoyed watching all sports.
He was preceded in death by: both parents; one son, Brock Wayne Cossey in May 2006; paternal grandparents, James Melvin Cossey & Francis Ellen Cossey; maternal grandparents, John Henry Lewis and Ethel Molly Young Lewis; and one sister, Dorothy Anne Woodward.
Survivors include: wife, Jennifer Cossey of the home; daughter, Kalie Hargus & husband Weston; two step-daughters, Brooke Remy and Mackenzie Remy; step-granddaughter, Channing Oliver; and many nieces, nephews and cousins who called him ‘Uncle Bo.’
Interment will be in the Laverty Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
