A memorial service for James “Jim” M. Cooper, also known as “Coop,” 69, of Ninnekah, will held by the family Thursday, October 27, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Ninnekah.
James “Jim” M. Cooper was born January 22, 1953 in Chickasha, Oklahoma the son of Albert Fredrick Cooper and Marjorie Maude Griswold Cooper. He passed from this life on Thursday, October 20, 2022 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Jim grew up in Ninnekah and graduated from Ninnekah High School in 1971 then he attended auto-body trade school. He was employed by Jackson Horse Trailer and then he went into business for himself painting vehicles and later into farming. He enjoyed going to farm auctions, antique auctions, and swap meets.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Delma Winstone and Charlotte Young; brother Burton Ginn; brothers-in-law Bob Winstone, Sam Young, and Douglas Collins; and nephew Brent Hill.
Survivors include his sisters and brother-in-law, Sheryl Collins of Ninnekah, and Kathy and Ron Huffines of Moore; numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family and many friends.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
