James ‘Allen’ Riggs was born on May 12, 1938, in Beaver County, in the city of Forgan, to Harry Dean and Margaret (Hartman) Riggs.  He went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 8, 2012, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Allen grew up in several towns in the Oklahoma Panhandle and graduated from Forgan Public Schools.  In 1957 he joined the Army Reserves.  He married Hilda Joan Casey, who would be his wife and partner in life for over half a century, on May 10, 1958, in Tyrone, Oklahoma.

Allen and Joan moved to Wichita, Kansas, for a few years before moving to the Oklahoma City area.  They bought their house in Dibble in the early 70s and have remained settled there.  Allen was employed with Continental Federal Savings & Loan in Oklahoma City for many years.  After working for various savings & loan companies for well over thirty years he retired from Bank of Oklahoma in 2005 at the age of 67.

He was preceded in death by both parents and one brother, Gene Riggs.
