Funeral services for Jacqueline LaRose Ellis, 52, of Chickasha, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2015 at the Shepherd Street Christian Church with Milton Bowens, Jr. officiating.
Jacqueline LaRose Ellis was born September, 24, 1962 to the union of Callie Mae Ellis of Chickasha, Oklahoma and Isaiah Harris of Detroit, Michigan. Jackie was the sixth child of nine children. She died Saturday, March 7, 2015 in Oklahoma City.
She attended Chickasha Public Schools, and then moved to Roswell New Mexico in 1979, where she graduated high school. She returned to Chickasha upon graduation and became employed with Delta Faucet. She was also employed with USAO as a pastry chef.
Jackie accepted Christ at an early age, while attending Shepherd Street Christian Church. She enjoyed music, dancing, and working in her yard, where she liked gardening, tending her flowers; she kept an immaculate yard. One of her favorite hobbies was going to the casino.
She always enjoyed spending time with her family and taking great care of her mother. She was a friend to all and never met a stranger. We will always remember Jackie as having a heart of “gold”, and she will be greatly missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Carl Dean Harris.
Jackie leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Callie Mae Ellis of Chickasha; step-father, Lavern Mallard of Chickasha; seven siblings, Kenneth Ellis III of Sacramento, California, Ricky C.
