Funeral services for Jackie D. Bordwine, 70, of Chickasha, will be held Friday, July 11, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Henderson officiating.
Jackie D. Bordwine was born November 29, 1943 in Altus, Oklahoma to Virgil and Bernice (Smart) Raper. She died Tuesday, July 8, 2014 in Chickasha.
Jackie moved to Chickasha when she was ten years old, and she attended the Chickasha Public Schools. She married Wayne Bordwine on August 4, 1965 in Duncan, Oklahoma.
She was a homemaker for her family, but when the family lived in Hinton, she worked as a cashier at the Red Bud Grocery. They later moved back to Chickasha.
Jackie loved to go to the casino and painting ceramics. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandkids. She was deeply loved and will be missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by both parents; her husband, Wayne; her son, Rodney Bordwine; her daughter, Nina Barker; two sisters, Betty Jane Raper and Betty Jean Wilson; one grandchild, Makayla Grace Bordwine; and one great-grandchild, Braxton Bordwine.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Chris Bordwine of Newcastle; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Tommy Williams of Ninnekah; brothers, Virgil Raper Jr., David Raper, and Denton “Sherwood” Raper; sisters, Nancy Quillen and Theresa Ferguson; sixteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; as well as many extended family and friends.
Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
