A memorial service for Jack Millard Weaver will be held Friday, November 18 th at 10:30 a.m. at Epworth United Methodist Church in Chickasha, Oklahoma with Reverend Kyle Clark officiating.
Jack Millard Weaver was born August 25, 1944, in Bonham, Texas to Ossie Millard (O.M.) and Nina Belle Moore Weaver. He passed on November 14, 2022, in Chickasha, Oklahoma at the age of 78.
In his youth, Jack was a lifeguard, a football player and active in the Boy Scouts of America, where he earned his Eagle Scout. After graduating from Bonham High School, Jack attended Texas Tech University. During college he worked as a draftsman at Roberson Steel CO. until graduation in 1968 with a degree in Park Administration. He then accepted the role as city administrator of Altus, Oklahoma. Jack moved to Chickasha after accepting the role as City Manager for 6 years and later worked for Parker Real Estate. Jack owned and operated his own company, Chickasha Tool Works, for over the next two decades. Jack served on the Grady County Criminal Justice Authority Board for over 10 years. Jack also attended the Epworth Methodist Church.
In 1964, he married the love of his life, Mary Joan Weaver, and relocated to Lubbock, TX. Jack and Joan were high school sweethearts, college sweethearts and married before college graduation.
Jack loved his hobby of fishing, being a master-griller, photography, woodworking and traveling. He loved his family and friends and was a strong member of the Chickasha community.
Jack is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Joan Weaver, daughters, Brandi Weaver Smith (Michael) and Heather Weaver Pujats (Andrew). He was immensely proud of his grandchildren, Taylor Renee Smith, Chase Michael Smith, Hannah Quinn Pujats and Olivia Kate Pujats. Also, survived by brothers, Chuck Weaver and Dan Weaver, nephew Joseph Weaver and niece Joanna Weaver.
