Funeral services for Iris “Belinda” Horstkoetter, 61, of Moore, formerly of Chickasha, will be held at 1:00p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2017 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Alice Wendling officiating.
Iris Belinda (Pool) Horstkoetter was born October 3, 1955 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Edsel Pool and Juanita Omicka (Christian) Pool. She died Wednesday, June 21, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Belinda grew up in Chickasha and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1973.
On March 17, 1978, she married Terry Louis Horstkoetter in Wichita Falls, Texas.
She spent the majority of her life making a warm and comfortable home for Terry and her children. Belinda had worked outside the home managing a few different retail stores, but her main focus was raising her family and taking care of her loved ones. She really enjoyed spending time with all of her family.
Belinda had a natural artistic ability for interior design. She was also talented at floral arrangements and was a skilled gardener, she loved being outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Pool, her sister, Lisa Ellis, and her brother, Edsel Leon Pool.
Survivors include her husband, Terry Horstkoetter, of the home; son, Trent Horstkoetter and wife, Heather; daughter and son-in-law, Tara Horstkoetter-Parker and Justin Parker; grandchildren, Payton, Brenden, Ricky, and Sabrina; father, Edsel Pool; siblings, Louise Dresser Davis and husband, Jay, Jimmy Pool, Ronny Pool; sister-in-law, Pat Pool; many nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.
Interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. in Moore City Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
