A graveside service for Howard Lynn Richardson, 79, of Amber, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2023 in the Fairlawn Cemetery with Reverend Eutimio Delacruz officiating.
Howard Lynn Richardson was born March 26th, an hour and five minutes before his twin brother Harold Richardson, east of Amber, Oklahoma, in 1944, the sons of Tom Lee Richardson and Elsie Mae (Summers) Richardson. He gained his wings surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at his home outside of Amber, Oklahoma.
Howard attended Amber School through the eighth grade and left school to go work on the family farm, later receiving his GED. He met and married the love of his life Nelda Bickerstaff on November 14, 1962 in Gainesville, Texas. They made their home in Amber raising their two children Tommy and Tammy. Howard spent his life employed as a millwright, a welder and later retired in 2000 as acting chief of DEQ in Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
Howard was a member of the Amber Mission Holiness Church in Amber.
Howard was preceded in death by both parents and his twin brother Harold Richardson; brothers, Robert Richardson, Eugene Richardson, and Dale Richardson; and sister, Bertha Green.
Loved ones left to remember him are his wife, Nelda Richardson of the home; son and daughter-in-law Tommy and Julie Richardson of Rush Springs; daughter and son-in-law Tammy and Dale Taylor of Amber; sister Shirley Richardson of Chickasha; brothers and sisters-in-law Fred and Johna Richardson of Marlow and JB and Gerry Richardson of Amber; grandchildren, Leona and James Rodgers of Chickasha, Kily Keeling of OKC, Jeromy and Christa Smith of El Reno, Tiffany and Kevin McGaughey of Norge and Hunter Taylor of Duncan; great-grandchildren; Jimmy, Eva, Dominick, Decklynn, Devlynn, Luke, Bentlee and Kydalynn and other extended family and friends.
Viewing will be at Ferguson Funeral Home, Wednesday April, 12. 2023, the family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
