A funeral service for Helen Maxine Foley, 93, of Chickasha, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel.

Helen Maxine Foley was born on February 28, 1929 in Kamay, Texas to Johnnie Oather Levell and Lou Alice (Anthony) Levell. She passed from this life on January 20, 2023 at her home in Chickasha, Oklahoma surrounded by her family.

Helen grew up in Holiday, Texas, graduating from Holiday High School in 1947.

On May 24, 1947, she married Vanweeldon Foley in Henrietta, Texas. They had almost 52 years together before he passed away in 1999.

They moved to California in 1955, where she worked several different jobs. Then when they moved to Chickasha around 1970, she was employed for a time with Grady Memorial Hospital in housekeeping. She then worked for Hermetic Switch until her retirement.

Her life revolved around her family. She helped raise many of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook.

She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband Van Foley, sister Jettie Raines and brother Harwell Levell.

She is survived by her daughter Vanie Maxine Jones of Chickasha, son Terry Foley and wife Lezlie of Crescent, granddaughters Barbara Livings and husband Keith of Oklahoma City and Tara Winsett and husband Rusty of Ninnekah; grandsons Paul Jones, Jr. of Chickasha and Tom Foley and wife Tammy of Moore; great-grandchildren Jordan Carl and wife Ashlee, Shelby Fields and husband Josh, Brad Foley and fiancée Lucely, and Ryne Winsett; five great-great grandchildren and other extended family and friends.

Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
