Funeral services for Hazel Catheline Pearcy, 82, of Chickasha will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Alice Wendling officiating.
Hazel Catheline Pearcy was born December 5, 1931 to John and Lula Mae Lawson in Wytheville, Virginia. She passed away at her home on Wednesday, May 21, 2014.
She was raised and attended school there until she moved to Oklahoma to raise her children. She lived in the Ninnekah and Chickasha area, where she later met her husband, Richard Pearcy. Together they raised eleven children.
Hazel loved to collect antiques, going to garage sales, collecting anything to do with Elvis. She loved to see Craig Parker, an Elvis impersonator, anytime he was in town. Hazel worked for Pet Milk for many years until her retirement.
She was an amazing mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Pamela Reed; daughter, Linda Holder; two brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Pearcy of the home; three sons, Gary Lawson, Harold Reed, and Dennis Reed; four daughters, Betty Austin, Brenda Rider, Patricia Taber, and Connie Line; stepchildren, Stacy Price, Shanon Berg, and Steve Pearcy; one brother; a special friend of many years, Fern Sanders; 21 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild; as well as many extended family and friends.
Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
