Funeral services for Guy Dewitt Huggins, Jr., 59, of Chickasha will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Emeritus Kim Hayes officiating.
Guy Dewitt Huggins, Jr, known by most as “Little Guy,” was born February 27, 1963 at Ft. Eustis in Virginia to Guy Dewitt Huggins, Sr. and Audrey Lou (Prince) Huggins. He died Friday, November 4, 2022 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Guy grew up in Chickasha, graduating from Chickasha High School in 1981. He played football and was recruited to play tackle for KSU under Jim Dickey. They played in the Independence Bowl of 1982. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1986.
He met the love of his life Debbie Gitthens-Huggins in 1988 and they shared 22 years together until her passing in 2010.
Guy first worked as a deputy with the Kansas City Sheriff’s Department, then came back to Chickasha and worked eighteen years with the Grady County Sheriff’s Department. Over the years, he also worked for DHS as a Child Welfare Supervisor, as a probation and parole Officer, a chief investigator with the DOT, supervising visitations for children, and currently as a soil environmentalist with Ag & Oil.
Little Guy was a people person, the life of the party. He and Debbie were highly involved in local community events like Santa’s Workshop. He loved Chickasha and had lots of friends. For many years, he was a host and commentator on Swap Shop and Coach’s Corner. He loved sports and was passionate about his football, an avid fan of KSU and CHS and was also a huge supporter of USAO.
He was preceded in death by his parents Guy Huggins Sr. and Audrey Huggins, wife Debbie Gitthens-Huggins in 2010, and grandson Thomas South in 2020.
Survivors include his brother Frank Huggins and wife Janet of Chickasha, sister Kimberly Huggins-Morgan and husband Larry of Choctaw; grandchildren, Tyler South and Sydni South and daughter Kendra Lamb, all of Chickasha; friends that were like family, Johnny “Spud” and Barbara Pelley; nieces and nephews Justin and Crystal Huggins, Jared and Jodi Huggins, Kyle Huggins, Stephanie and Russell Davis, Kelly and Steven Clarke, and Autumn and Starla Boxley; great-nieces and great-nephews Reagan, Hunter, Gage, Waylon, Savannah, Violet Lou, and Elliot; and other extended family and many friends.

Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
