Greg Thomas Charlson was born on February 3, 1960, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the son of Wiley Charlson and Angie Hathorn Charlson. He died on Monday, February 27, 2012, at home in Ninnekah.
Greg grew up in the Chickasha area and graduated from Chickasha High School. He married the love of his life and wife of thirty years, Beverly Cox, on January 9, 1982, in Chickasha. They would later have one son, Austin, whom Greg loved dearly and of whom he was immensely proud.
After high school, Greg worked in the oilfield before becoming a self-employed welder. He owned and operated Trail East Manufacturing where he manufactured one-axle horse trailers of all sizes and did repair work, selling his trailers to Doug Collins of C Bar C Trailers. For the past five years Greg, his son, Austin, and his wife, Beverly have been the sole owners of C Bar C Trailers.
During Greg’s life he played football and enjoyed riding dirt bikes and four wheelers. When he grew up he found a new interest in cars and Harley Davidsons of which he owned many. He enjoyed riding all the way to Sturgis. He enjoyed working out in the farms clearing and cleaning out the pastures. He was handy with a chain saw. He loved antiques and old cars and collected vintage memorabilia. He never met a stranger and could easily carry on a conversation with anyone, anytime.
