Memorial services for Gary L. Menefee, 69, of Chickasha, will be held by the family at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the Cache Christian Church with Reverend John Webb officiating. A viewing will be at Ferguson Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 10 th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Thursday, January 11 th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with cremation following.
Gary L. Menefee was born on December 30, 1948 to Junior Lawrence Menefee and Hazel Winona (Walker) Menefee in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He died January 7, 2018 in Lawton, Oklahoma.
He attended Chickasha Schools, and graduated in May 1966. He attended college for a short time in Des Moines, Iowa and moved back home.
He met and married Paula Sue (Taylor) Menefee on July 19, 1967. They had 3 children: Robert Lawrence Menefee, Kimberly Ann Menefee, and Christopher Lee Menefee. They divorced in 1989.
He met Jean Menefee and married June 30, 1997 and gained not only a wife and partner but 3 more children: Michele Dowd, Donna Dowd, and Kenneth Dowd.
He owned Digital Recovery. Gary loved his family and friends, helping others, working in his shop, fixing things, building things, cook-outs, get togethers, family holidays, fishing, boating and camping.
Gary never met a stranger. He was always so friendly and he adopted so many of his children’s friends as they were growing up.
Gary is preceded in death by both of his parents and one son, Robert Menefee.
He is survived by his wife of the home, Jean Menefee, Daughter Kimberly Selby-Adrahtas and husband Thomas Adrahtas of Medicine Park, Christopher Menefee of Cache, Michele Dowd-Thomas and husband Shane of California, Kenneth Dowd and wife Stephanie of California and Donna Floyd and husband Gene of Texas. Also his grandchildren, Michael and Dillon Selby of Cache, Oklahoma, Robert Menefee of Cache, Bryan and Aaron Floyd of Texas, Valerie, Daniel and Olivia Dowd of California, and Kylee, Colby, Travis, and Michael Thomas of California; and other extended family and friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
