Funeral services for Frankie Darlene Bunnell, 68, of Chickasha, will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Kim Hayes officiating.
Frankie Darlene Bunnell was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma on March 10, 1945, the daughter of Melvin and Opal Welchel Sumner. She died on Monday, November 25, 2013, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Darlene grew up in Chickasha. Over the years, she owned and operated Bunnell’s Fast Food and later worked and retired from Delta Faucet after 21 years.
She always enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. April her granddaughter was her very best friend. She enjoyed working in her yard and flower beds.
She was preceded in death by both her parents, Melvin Sumner and Opal Welchel Sumner.
She is survived by: son and daughter-in-law, Tracy and Melony Bunnell of Chickasha, Oklahoma; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Annie Bunnell of Chickasha, Oklahoma; brother, David Sumner of Chickasha, Oklahoma; grandchildren, April Nightingale and her husband Brandon, Drew Bunnell and his wife Jen, Mykenzie, Sidney, and Gavin Bunnell; four great-grandchildren, Ely, Mason, Jase Bunnell and Jeffery Nightingale; as well as many cousins and extended family and friends.
Interment will be in the Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
