Funeral services will be held for Frank Samora, 86, of Chickasha at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Ed Whitley and Kim Hayes officiating.
Frank Samora was born on September 16, 1925, in Charco, Texas to Elias Villareal and Lenore Samora. He died on Sunday, October 30, 2011, at home in Chickasha.
Frank married Juanita Madrid on September 29, 1969, in Alamogordo, New Mexico.
They moved to the Chickasha area at that time. Frank was employed as a welder with Stidham Horse Trailers and later Niko Oilfield Supply. He retired in 1983.
Frank was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Chickasha and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was always a cheerful, outgoing person who never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include: wife, Juanita ‘Tina’ Samora of the home; two daughters, Olga Samora of Goliad, Texas and Ofilia Samora of Tigard, Oregon; two step-daughters, Mary Hernandez and Connie Escobar, both of Slaton, Texas; two sons, Joe Villareal of Slaton, Texas, and Thomas Villareal of St. Paul, Minnesota; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; eleven step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in the Laverty Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
