d. May 10, 2022

Graveside funeral services for Eveline Brigitte Hare, 78, of Ninnekah, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022 in the Ninnekah Cemetery.

Eveline Brigitte (Bartyl) Hare was born November 11, 1943 in Czechoslovakia. She was the daughter of Ed Hermann and Amy Hermann Aronson. She passed away May 10, 2022 at her home in Ninnekah, Oklahoma.

Eveline grew up in Ansbach, Germany and when she was 12 years, she and her mother escaped communist rule and came to the United States. They settled in El Paso, Texas, where she graduated high school. Her step-father at the time was in the Army and the family relocated to Ft. Carson in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

When Eveline turned 18 years old, she volunteered for the Red Cross just as Vietnam was starting. She met the love of her life Billy D. Hare and they were married January 17, 1963 in Colorado Springs. Bill had been drafted into the U. S. Army and served three tours in Vietnam encompassing 10 years, before being transferred to Ft. Sill in Lawton, Oklahoma.

After Bill completed his service to his country, he and Eveline made their home in Ninnekah. Side by side, they started a dozer company in 1970 and that small business grew and was later called Briggett Excavation and Trucking Company which the family owned and operated in Ninnekah for over 35 years.

Eveline worked beside Bill in their company for many years. She was an avid reader and always had a book in her hand. She was very straight forward and could line you out and there would be no questions asked. She enjoyed going to the casino. She worked with the Red Cross for many years, even having an office set up in the local area when they moved to Ninnekah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Billy D. Hare, Sr. in 2008, and two sisters Linda Kerr and Jeanette Hemrick.

Survivors include her daughter Deanna Hare of Oklahoma City and son Billy D. Hare, Jr. of Oklahoma City; granddaughter Crystal Gregory; great-grandchildren Kyla, Mikayla and Michael, Jr.; two great-great-granddaughters Elijasha and Elyse Eveline; two nephews Nickolas Kerr and Michael Kerr; aunt Beatrix Eschenbeck from Germany; and other extended family and friends.

Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
