On Saturday, December 15, 2018 Ennis Earl Brooks Jr., loving husband, father of five children, and seven grandchildren, passed away at the age of 58.
Earl was born in Oxnard, CA on August 20, 1960 to Ennis Earl Brooks and Judy Jane Kennedy Brooks. Earl’s family later moved to Borger, TX. Earl learned to be a master meat cutter from his father and began his career in Borger TX as a meat cutter for Safeway Stores. He was later transferred to Safeway/Homeland in Guymon, OK where he was the Meat Market Manager, and was named the #1 Meat Market Manager for Safeway/Homeland stores in Oklahoma for many years.
Earl’s most important goal in life was to be a great father. He adored his girls, coached his boys, and many other boys in baseball, from T-ball through their teenage years. Many times, he was heard saying he wished he could coach his grandchildren and did whenever they were with him.
Earl is survived by his wife Teddie McClure Brooks; his children Micheal Brooks, Tiffany Brooks, Sgt. Chris Slaugh, MiKinze Remling, and Trever Brooks; His grandchildren Thomas, Caden, Devyn, Sebastian, Jaelyn, Winston, and Aiden; his sister Joy Brooks Bowen; nephews Shawn,Tim, Jason and niece Trinity. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, sister Donna, and his grandmother Beatrice with whom he had a very special relationship.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11:00 am at Grand Assembly of God Church in Chickasha, Oklahoma, officiated by Pastor Gary Rogers.
Services and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
