Eldon ‘Punk’ Lee Fisher

Memorial services will be held for Eldon “Punk” Lee Fisher, 67, of Chickasha at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2012, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel.

Eldon Lee Fisher was born on September 23, 1944, in Carnegie, Oklahoma , the son of Albert Theodore Fisher and Maudie Elizabeth McDaniel Fisher.  He died on Monday, February 13, 2012, at home in Chickasha.

Punk, as Eldon was affectionately known, grew up in Fort Cobb and graduated from Fort Cobb High School.  After high school he served four years in the United States Navy, serving part of that time in the Vietnam War.

Punk married Carolyn Robinson in November of 1972 and to that union his two daughters were born.  He was employed for a time with Glass Trucking as a diesel mechanic, but spent most of his life as a truck driver for various companies.  He had been hauling crude oil for several years before his retirement in 2010.

He was preceded in death by both parents.

Survivors include:  two daughters and sons-in-law, Misti & James Heston and their children, Caleb James and Kylee Paige of Rush Springs, and Julie & Lyndal Harper and their children, Brooklynn Elizabeth Nance and Kenadee Tonae of Greenville, Tennessee; close nephew, Jack Fisher; four sisters, Theda Fern Northcutt, Reba Maureen & Ward Croslin, June Lorraine Rankin and Betty Kay Lee; three brothers, Elmer Ray & Judy Fisher, Melvin Wayne & Lettie Fisher, and Dale Keith Fisher; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
