Funeral services for Earl H. Bailey III, 52 , of Chickasha will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Chickasha, Oklahoma with Pastor Jimmy Brackeen officiating.

Earl H. Bailey III was born June 26, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Earl H. Bailey II and Betty J. (Hanna) Bailey. He passed away September 30, 2018 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Earl grew up in Chicago, Illinois and Hurricane, West Virginia where he attended school and graduated from high school in 1984. After graduation, he moved to Oklahoma where he met and married Tammy L. DeShields in Moore, Oklahoma on January 29, 1985.

In 1987, he joined the U.S. Army and did his basic training at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. During his basic training his oldest daughter Ashlynn was born at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City. His first tour of duty was at Fort Campbell, Kentucky where his youngest daughter Kristalynn was born. Over the years he served in Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, and Desert Storm. After over 20 years of service, he retired from Fort Sill in August of 2007. Earl then went back to work for the Department of Defense in 2011 where he was currently employed.

Earl was a beloved Cowboys fan. He loved his man cave. The light of his life was his grandson Layten, whom he lovingly referred to as Bubs. Earl loved his Harley and taking motorcycle trips. He also enjoyed going on cruises with his loving and devoted wife Tammy.

Earl was preceded in death by his father Earl H. Bailey II and mentor Robert “Bob” Bright.

Survivors include his wife Tammy; his daughters and sons-in-law Ashlynn and Christian Warf of Colonial Heights, Virginia, and Kristalynn and Travis Pirkle of Chickasha, Oklahoma; mother and step father, Betty Jean and Jeff Setliff of Bailey, North Carolina; sister Shannon Moore of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; sister and brother-in-law Anna and Jay Hayes of Hurricane, West Virginia; grandson Layten Pirkle; his niece Aalaya Bailey-Williamson; nephews Jake and Jared Moore; and other extended family and friends.

Interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Ft. Sill National Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
