A funeral service for Dovie Jane Clouse, 89, of Moore, formerly of Chickasha, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 2023 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Alice Wendling officiating.

Dovie Jane Clouse was born February 8, 1933 in Stonewall, Oklahoma, one of 14 children and the daughter of James “JB” Manuel and Mary Elizabeth (Wallace) Manuel. She passed from this life on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at home in Moore, surrounded by her family.

Dovie grew up in the Wapanucka /Ada area and then the Chickasha area. She attended school at Union Hill School in Chickasha.

On May 14, 1953, she married Raymond G. Clouse and they shared 41 years together before he passed in 1994.

Dovie worked as a waitress, for Chickasha Mobile Homes, and retired from Delta Faucet. She had later worked some as a caregiver as well. She liked to go to garage sales, work crossword puzzles and reading.

Her family was her life and she was always a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She loved going to the lake, spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events or activities. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by so many.

Dovie was preceded in death by both parents, her husband Raymond Sr., five brothers and seven sisters, daughter Emma Scarbarough, sons-in-law Delbert Dale and Jerry Scarbarough, and great-grandson Tyler Johnson.

Survivors are sons and daughters-in-law Bobby and Sheila Guerrero of Chickasha, Glen and Vickie Clouse of Oklahoma City, Raymond Jr. and Velma Clouse of Moore; daughter Twana Dale of Macomb; son Benny Clouse of Moore; sister Lovie Tannehill of Ninnekah; 17 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and many other extended family and friends.

Viewing will be at Ferguson Funeral Home on Sunday, January 8 th from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
