Graveside services for Dorothy Marie Dumas, 92, of Osage Beach, Missouri, formally of Chickasha, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2013, in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
Dorothy Marie Dumas was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma, on September 19, 1920, the daughter of Harry Aaron Linn and Luella Maebelle Johnson Linn. She died August 29, 2013, in Osage Beach, Missouri.
Dorothy attended Oklahoma College for Women and studied Home Economics.
Dorothy married the love of her life Amon Doyle Dumas on September 28, 1945, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She loved to go dancing with her husband, writing poetry, reading and cooking. Dorothy dedicated her life to raising her four children.
Later in life she became a member of The Red Hat Society.
She was preceded in death by: both parents; Harry Aaron Linn and Luella Maebelle Johnson Linn, husband; Amon Doyle Dumas, four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include: three daughters; Linda Marie Owen of Anaheim, California, Stare Lee Fox of Four Seasons, Missouri and Peggy Linn Vaughn of Salem, Oregon, son; Ronnie Allen Dumas of Anaheim, California, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
