Funeral Services for Dorothy Helen Daubenspeck, 73, of Yukon will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2014 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Christensen officiating.
Dorothy Helen Daubenspeck was born June 23, 1940 in Webber Falls, Oklahoma to Louis and Kelly (Martin) Russell.
Her family moved to Dumas, Arkansas, where she grew up and as a young adult she moved with her family to Goshen, California. There she met Wesley Daubenspeck and in 1959, they were married in Mexico.
In the early 1960’s Wesley’s job moved them to Chickasha. Dorothy was employed at Chickasha Laundry and Maremont Manufacturing. She retired around 1985. In 2004, she moved to Yukon to be closer to family.
Dorothy was a faithful member of Victory Life Church in Warr Acres. She enjoyed sewing, and was skilled at making doll clothes. She also loved to bake.
She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and a son, Pat Allen Daubenspeck.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Betty Jo and Daniel Grigg of Yukon; son, Jimmy Daubenspeck of Chandler; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; as well as many extended family and friends.
Dorothy’s choice was cremation following the services.
