Funeral services for Donnie Ray Alcorn, 72, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2017 in the Full Gospel Church with Sister Alice Wendling officiating.
Donnie Ray Alcorn was born February 22, 1945 in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the son of Richard and Clara Alcorn. He died on Monday, July 24, 2017 at his home in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Donnie grew up and attended school in Chickasha.
He joined the United States Army and served in foreign war as a medic. After being honorably discharged from the military, he returned to Chickasha. Donnie worked various construction jobs throughout his life.
Donnie liked to collect riding lawn mowers and mowed his lawn every two days. He also had a Native American coin collection and enjoyed fishing and reading Western novels. He loved chocolate cake. Donnie had a big heart and enjoyed giving his friends and family a ‘hard time’. He will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by both his parents and eight siblings; daughter, Dondee Renee Alcorn; and nephews, Ronnie and Rodger Alcorn.
Survivors include his daughter, Constance Justice, of the home; granddaughter, Stephanie Garcia and husband, Johnny, of Chickasha; grandsons, Curtis Koehn and wife, Danielle, of Chickasha and Carl Koehn, Jr. of Enid; great-grandchildren, Haley Patton, Tianna Karkouri, Lauren Garcia, BreAnna Rongey, Leah Price, Haley Koehn, and Andrew Copeland; sister-in-law, Margie Smith; nephews, Shannon, Refer, Roy, Richard, Robert, and Randy Alcorn; and other extended family and friends.
Interment will be in Alex Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
