Funeral services for Donnell Jean Padgett, 63, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Aaron Bird and Reverend Kelly Martin officiating.
Donnell Jean Padgett was born July 9, 1957 in Loma Linda, California, the daughter of Donald Carrol Padgett and Jimmie Mae (Cox) Padgett. She passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Donnell graduated from Lindsay High School in 1975 and then attended college at Central State University in Edmond, now known as UCO.
During high school, she worked at her parent’s restaurant and worked in various food service restaurants throughout her life. For 25 years, she worked with Taco Mayo, becoming an owner/operator in Chickasha on April 20, 2014.
On February 14, 1987, she married Wesley Vernon Freeman and they raised four children Dustin, RayNelle, Brittany and Tiffany.
Donnell enjoyed working with crafts and studying genealogy. Besides her children, her grandboys were her pride and joy.
She was preceded in death by both parents and a brother-in-law, Mark Seftar.
Survivors include her son, Dustin Padgett and wife, Ashley, of Chickasha; daughters, RayNelle Freeman, Brittany Freeman and Tiffany Freeman, all of Chickasha; “adopted daughter”, Brandice Burton of Chickasha; sister, Vicky Seftar of Bethany; brother, Damon Padgett and wife, Jean, of Lindsay; sister, Dianna Coffee and husband, Leonard, of Lindsay; grandboys, Dylan, Daniel, Denton, Evan and Donny; other extended family and friends.
Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
