Funeral se rvices for Donald Leon Lupton, Jr., 52, of Chickasha, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2018 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel.
Donald Leon Lupton, Jr., the son of Donald Leon Lupton, Sr. and Peggy Jo (Kennedy) Moore, was born May 24, 1966 in Jacksonville, Arkansas. He died Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in Norman, Oklahoma.
Don grew up in Annona, Texas and in 1985 he graduated high school from Avery, Texas. He then joined the Job Corp in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
He married Tina Stewart in 1989 and to this union their daughters, Sarah and Lisa were born. Later in May 1995, he married Valerie Ross and his son, Ben Lupton was born.
Don worked for Gabriel for over 17 years until 2005. Then he went to work for Hamm and Phillips as a truckdriver in the oilfield until 2012 when he was pronounced medically disabled.
He loved to ride his motorcycle, often riding to Mt. Scott and eating at Meer’s. He also made trips to the Sturgeon Motorcycle Rally. Don was a die-hard OU fan.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Moore and his grandparents, Gilbert “Pappy” Kennedy, Rena “Mama Jigg” Kennedy, Max Raymond Lupton and Viola Lupton.
Survivors include his father, Donald Lupton, Sr. of McCrory, Arkansas; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Brandon Hall of Verden; daughter, Lisa Lupton of Chickasha; son, Ben Lupton of Anadarko; grandchildren, Adison, Rosemary, Michael, and Brooklyn; brothers, Ross Lupton and Adrian Lupton; sisters, Tammy Hayes and Rachel Wadley; and other extended family and friends.
Cremation arrangements will follow the funeral services under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
