Graveside services for Donald Jeter Dunn, 91, of Chickasha, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2021 in Fairlawn Cemetery.
Donald Jeter Dunn was born on May 11, 1929 to Doc P. Dunn and Nelly Dunn. After a brief battle with cancer and having spent time with his family, he went to be with his Savior in the early morning of February 1, 2021.
Don married the love of his life, Veralyn Bea (Shotts) Dunn on October 25, 1947 at the young age of 18. The two would have been married for 74 years this October. Don and Bea had 5 children together. Don was the kindest, most patient man you had ever met. He worked numerous jobs, but his favorite was owning his own lock shop — Don’s Mobile Lock Shop.
Anytime anyone needed him, he was there. It didn’t matter who you were or what you had done. He and Bea enjoyed spending weeks at the lake as they grew old together and taking their grandchildren along. He truly was the best husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his darlin’ Bea, children, and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of Southern Oaks Church of Christ for over 70 years. He served the Lord daily and was ready to be with him.
He was preceded in death by both parents, his son Timm Dunn, an infant brother and sister, his brothers Howard Dunn and Sammy Dunn, and his sister Maydell Stull.
He is survived by his wife, Bea Dunn of Chickasha. His children: Terry Dunn of Sulphur, Brenda Stidham and husband Jackie of Chickasha, Penny Jordan and husband Joe of Blanchard, and Kendall Dunn of Chickasha. His grandchildren: Luke Dunn, Ladonna Hacker, Donnie Dunn, Dustin Stidham, Derek Stidham, Kealee Romero, Christopher Dunn, Kristy Kelley, Trevor Dunn, Shandi Mosley, and Parker Jordan. Numerous great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren.
