Funeral services for Donald Frank Habener, 65, of Chickasha, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2021 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with David Hale officiating.
Donald Frank Habener was born September 21, 1955 in Riviera, California, the son of Donald Noel Habener and Doris Ann (Chaney) Habener. He died Wednesday, July 21, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Don graduated in 1974 from Western Heights High School in Oklahoma City.
Over the years, he worked for Southwest Electrical, Frito Lay and most recently the City of Anadarko.
He married Sharon Hatley and to this union his two daughters, Michelle and Stephanie, were born.
On September 28, 1992, he married his wife, Frances Wytawna Kilgore, and they had their son John Ross.
Don enjoyed building model cars and working on classic cars. He was a collector and among his collections were coins and miniature cars. He loved spending time with his grandbabies, which were his pride and joy. He was a family man and loved doing things for his family.
He was preceded in death by his father Donald Noel Habener and his grandma Lula Bell Middleton and his “Grandpa Bud” Lorenzo Middleton.
Survivors include his wife Wytawna Habener of Chickasha; daughters Michelle Murphy of Yukon and Stephanie Nivin and husband Burke of Yukon; son John Ross Habener of Chickasha; mother Doris Ann Habener of Chickasha; brothers David Habener of Chickasha and Jimmy Habener and wife Catherine of Oklahoma City; grandchildren Landon, Jace, Audrey, Shia, Maddox, Connor and Nash; nieces and nephew Amanda, Michael and Jessica; cousins and other extended family and friends.
Viewing will be Monday, July 26 th from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Ferguson Funeral Home with the family there to receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Services and the arrangements for cremation following the service are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
