Funeral services for Denzil Adolphus Hood, Jr., of Ninnekah, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2019 in the First Baptist Church of Ninnekah with Pastor Richard Kerr officiating.

Denzil Adolphus Hood, Jr., known as Dennie, was born on May 29, 1962 in Oklahoma City. He is the son of Denzil Adolphus Hood, Sr. and Betty Sue Biggs. He went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 in Norman, Oklahoma.

Dennie grew up and attended school in Cement. As a young man he worked at various jobs and in more recent years was a truck driver transporting oilfield materials.

He married Patricia and to this union his two daughters, Samantha and Brandi were born.

Dennie had a unique and creative ability to learn quickly, he was very mechanically inclined and could work on anything and be able to fix it. He loved music and would be able to listen to a song then play and sing it. He always had a funny story and was lovingly goofy. Dennie was the most patient, kind, joyful and amazing person and he never met a stranger. He had a gentle loving soul. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

On October 9, 2004, he married the love of his life, Stacey (Graves) Deal. They were soulmates and had 15 wonderful years together.

He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Shirley Graves, whom he loved very much.

Survivors include his wife, Stacey Hood, of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Samantha and Justin Minnick of El Reno and Brandi and Neal Stidham of Gracemont; mother, Betty Biggs of Chickasha; father, Denzil Hood, Sr. and his wife, Rebeca of Puebla, Mexico; father-in-law, Bill Graves of Ninnekah; step-children, Bron Austin Deal of Walden, Colorado, Kristi and Bryan Hilderbrand of Ninnekah and Kiara Deal of Stillwater; grandchildren, Michaela, Greyson, Gunner and Hunter; sister and brother-in-law, Deneva and Danny Chaney; three half-siblings and their spouses, Jonathan and Devon Hood, Denise and Sterling Overstreet and Debra and Jacob Nelson; his special dogs, Bella and Reba; and other extended family and friends.

Interment will be in Alex Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
