Memorial services for DeLois Pauline Hunter, 72, of Chickasha, will be handled by the family and will be between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm on Sunday, October 24th at the Country Club Event Center located at 2902 West Country Club Rd in Chickasha.
DeLois Pauline Hunter was born April 7, 1949 in Jackson, Mississippi to James and Johnnie Conley. She passed away September 9, 2021 in Chickasha, Oklahoma due to complications with her breathing.
She attended school in Mississippi, Texas and California, graduating from North Bakersfield High School in 1967.
On January 20, 1973, she married Billy Donald Hunter. She returned to school in 1992 to begin her medical assistance training at Taft Community College in Taft, California. She moved to Ninnekah, Oklahoma in 1995 and enrolled in the medical assistant program at Canadian Valley Technology Center. After completion of that program in 1996, she had worked for Southern Plains Medical Center, Five Oaks Medical Clinic and Grady Memorial Hospital until she retired in 2015.
She was preceded in death by both her parents.
She is survived by her daughters Laura Johnson and Marley Thomas; son Loyd Hunter; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
