d. November 29, 2024

A memorial service for David Allen Farley, 56, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bryan Haynes officiating.

David Allen Farley was born September 14, 1968 in California the son of Tommy and Nancy Farley. He passed from this life on Friday, November 29, 2024 in Chickasha, Oklahoma surrounded by his family.

David’s journey began in Seminole Public School, where his love for learning and camaraderie first blossomed. He dedicated a part of his life to the oil field, a testament to his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family. However, David was not just a worker; he was a devoted father who yearned for more time at home. This yearning led him to a career change that brought him to the City of Chickasha, where he drove a trash truck. His journey did not end there; he eventually rose to work in the street department, where he formed bonds that transcended mere workplace acquaintances. His colleagues became his extended family, a reflection of the warmth and kindness that characterized David’s spirit.

David’s passions were many, but none shone as brightly as his love for football. A loyal supporter of the University of Oklahoma, he attended countless games, cheering passionately for his team. His excitement extended beyond the university, as he also took pride in supporting Chickasha High School’s football program. David’s enthusiasm for the game was infectious, and his presence at the Big 12 Championship games in Arlington will remain a cherished memory for those fortunate enough to share those moments with him. Beyond the field, David found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He cherished the time spent outdoors, whether tending to his yard, crafting in his shop, or simply enjoying the serenity of his back patio. However, it was the time spent with his family—especially his grandchildren—that brought him the greatest joy. David was a devoted grandfather, and his love for his family knew no bounds. He understood the importance of being present and involved, creating memories that will be treasured for generations to come.

As we reflect on David Farley’s life, let us remember him as a loving father, a cherished friend, and a passionate supporter of his community and his beloved football team. May we honor his legacy by embodying the kindness, dedication, and love that he so generously shared throughout his life. Rest in peace, dear David. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew you.
