A private memorial service for Daryl Wayne Halbert, 54, of Chickasha will be held at a later date by the family.
Daryl Wayne Halbert was born November 18, 1969 in Tucson, Arizona. He was the son of Jack Albert Halbert and Karen (Freeman) Wilkerson. He passed from this life on Saturday, August 24, 2024 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Daryl grew up in Southern Arizona and Oklahoma. He graduated from Ninnekah High School in 1988 and had received certifications in CVET and Auto Mechanics.
After high school, he worked as a mechanic at his father’s shop for a while. Over the years, he worked at various jobs, most recently doing remodeling for home construction.
Daryl was kind and always there to help others. He was a free spirit, quick witted and light-hearted. He was a devoted Pop Pop to his sweet granddaughter, Frannie.
He was preceded in death by his father and step-mom Jack and Jacque Halbert.
Loved ones left to remember him are his mother Karen Wilkerson of Chickasha; daughter and son-in-law Jelousey and Matthew Marx of Norman and granddaughter Frances Marx; brother Jack Wade Halbert and wife Jennifer Wylie of Oregon; niece Mackenzie Halbert and nephew Mason Halbert; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and lots of friends.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
